Advantages of Graphite for Mechanical Industry:

1. Corrosion resistance: Graphite materials have good resistance to a variety of corrosive media and can work in a corrosive environment for a long time without being damaged, greatly extending the service life of the seals.
2. Self-lubrication: Graphite materials have unique self-lubricating properties. In the absence of lubricant or when the lubricant is insufficient, self-lubrication can be achieved through the friction of its surface microstructure. This characteristic enables graphite seals to reduce friction resistance, minimize wear, and improve sealing efficiency during operation.
3. Thermal conductivity: Graphite has a high thermal conductivity coefficient, second only to silver, copper, and aluminum, and is the only non-metallic material with a high thermal conductivity rate.  4. Low linear expansion coefficient: The linear expansion coefficient of graphite is low, approximately 1/2 to 1/4 of that of metals. 5. Compression resilience: After being processed and formed, graphite seals have a certain degree of compression resilience. When subjected to pressure, the seals can undergo elastic deformation to fill the sealing gap and achieve a tight seal. When the pressure is removed, the seals can quickly return to their original shape, maintaining the stability of the sealing performance.

Graphite Rotors and Vanes - An Essential Part of Vacuum Pump

The working principle of vacuum pump is to compress gas and discharge it by rotating the graphite rotors and vanes.
